City Kid Farms is a one-person urban farming business, since July 2010.
The Farms
Rose Street, the city lot at our home in South Park,
The Farm: a 3,000 sq.ft. tract at Marra Farm, in South Park.
Other farms belong to customers who allow me to develop and maintain their own urban farms, and to all of the Seattle farms that benefit from City Kid Farms.
The Mission
To get Kids outside, and teach them to appreciate nature, grow food, and enjoy their veggies.
To inspire Family and Community to restore farmland in the city, and bring back the senses: wildflowers, birdsong, rich soil, joy of work, homegrown food.
To guide our South Park Neighborhood toward self-sufficiency, with a vision for a South Park Food Network that produces all phases of its own food.
